Yes it all has its roots in the Mc Coys and the Hatfields -- long story short -- the end of the evolutionary process saw Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac [Mc Coy] and their taskmasters [Wall Street banks] go to war over a bad stock option split set up in an off-shore tax haven from when FM & FM were created. Originally passed in two secret meetings of congress in the 30s and 70s by the grandparents and great grandparents of the current kings [and queens] of congress, this all went pear-shaped when secret talks led to a fed takeover offer being made during the financial crisis [at the behest of Wall St banks] and those crazy McCoys and Hatfields have been at it ever since !
