When you are Leaving

poem

Shut the Gate
On the way out when you’re leaving
Celebrate
When you’re going home too
Forsake
Your throne and its view
Where you don’t belong
It’s like toppling a queen for a shrew
When you bathe in my sorrows
When you bathe in my dreams
When you have to pay a price
When you think it’s routine
When you no longer endure
When you’ve blown it all
When others are beckoned
And others enthralled
When the plight is dead…
