Very sad, Carol -- I can relate to you wondering what happened between ambulance and stay in hospital -- anything could happen! There are violent dementia patients who are quite dangerous to feeble patients [speaking from experience]. It's gonna take a bit of time - your mom sounds like she was so independent!
