Very good Peter - I like the end of it better than the start - Why ? Because you essentially launch into the 'car' anecdote without first giving a short outline about what you will talk about.

e.g.

Good evening - gee it's been 20 years since I was last here at the school [or whatever] how time flies ..AND how times have changed - I was regarded as quite bland back then ...and this was still the case even 6 years ago. I remember talking to a neighbour, who I was quite friendly with, ...etc. [THEN give car anecdote].

Peter, I'd also dump the first mention of the word "bully' and just use a general term. Later the term is OK, [once you've moved into the talk. ]

That's my two cents Peter - It's always good to run these things past people and also read it aloud to somebody. [whether you're autistic, neurotypical, Shakespeare or any one else]
