Do you seek me out in vain hope and glory
Your pride pricks nature in her courage
To seek me in longing, by land, sea or carriage
The answer to your season of discontent
I live and breathe, still eat and drink merry
Roam the woodlands and cross at the ferry
In glee I jibe and take my own sense of folly
I ponder the ways even sometimes for you
You tarry by time yet be bold in thy absence
Sentimental am I, nor by chance or in innocence
Fractured we fumble alone in despair
Let us love I think not unless it doth cure
In sunshine, in rain, with free rein: can you reign
Slice your vein, be vain, guide your charms by the vane
Let me admonish you too, suspend all dues
Upbraid your torment, taunt when I choose
Thus by pity in faith I beseech you not stay
I be just a fool your amusement at play, anyway
Let the days be long and to time us be tethered
Let lone hearts be one and hold us forever
