To Cry a River

Am I a seeker of shadows
A weaver of dreams
Come a nightmare gleaned
Only to cry a river
Do you too weave dreams
Swim up stream
Race the tide
Arrive on the fate of its shores
Sometime before dawn…
Are you a dream caster everlasting
Never to be ignored
An unimagined source
On the precipice of a new age
Enlightened by secret laws
A sage
Does love transfer to such extreme
Can everybody swim up streams
Do I need a team; do I need a subscription
Will there be a song streamed
Upstream, where the carp spawn
Hookups are cast strong
The fight prolonged
Fishermen are in their throng
No undertow, in a pond
Does love need a zone
A place to meet
In the heat, of battle
A precipice to this hopeful new dawn
Or will all be forlorn
Another sing along for the fisherman’s throng
A rite of passage
Served up on a platter
With a drink and another song
