The "vice" of life -- some have downgraded life to a quest of justice, retribution, and reworking...the arbiters of this personal philosophy, who are largely naive to history, see themselves judge, jury and executioner! The rest of us freely engage in life's vices! So, vice here is simply a metaphor for life. And as we live out our days, we await judgment from a future generation in the hope we have not transgressed our new masters from the future and their arbitrary laws!
