At whose behest by strange request
Inscribe the squires to sort the liars
Does time have its prime, does it not expire
Once time was money
Now money is honey but more akin curry
Running red hot and made in a hurry
And trillion-dollar bunnies don’t have time to make funnies
So go eke out a home as a noble savage
The under-ravaged
In dubious contempt
— hey, you’re not exempt
That could be just something you dreamt
Go get a tent
Make an attempt
— don’t be unkempt
Join the fray
– go and make hay
But leave my open car I need it to stray
I need it to pray — apart from Sundays
Just in good hope for another pay day
They can change the rules:
The squire’s ruse
Pick but don’t choose — the algorithmic blues
Sacramento thoughts — sacramental imports
In bubbled gauze — it’s all for the cause
For the in-laws
What race to choose, who to abuse
Which elephants now
…are on the loose
You’re just another goose having a gander
There’s no golden egg
Only the one that you planned for
God’s been sent, paid the rent
Forever is foretold
— serendipity beholds
Unmasked as a heathen
In the valley master’s steam room
He’s been watching your lies
While you bided your time
But democracy died
Out of sight, out of mind
Like a Chinese balloon
It’s…
