Thanks Michele - I left a link in Srini's comment to DB's apartment, which many thought was his [41/93 Elizabeth Bay Rd], [and just built when he bought 1983] but since read a real estate agent thingo - that says it was the building next door [39/95 E.B. Rd] - which makes sense too! These apartments are older but in a much better position, and I think it may be true - but no pics of the actual apartment - there is a clip of part of the estate of a billionaire who owned many apartments there and the top two levels [once combined] - his son was engaged to Mariah Carey for a bit.

This is 13th floor - Bowies would have been 3rd floor [39] - he sold it when he got married. The apartments to left [in pics] is the probably 'mistaken' apartments
