Thanks for your superb comment, Chan -- much obliged -- Yes it would seem you can murder people without retribution, but to report on the murder is a greater crime -- Why? It risks the possibility of putting a person's anonoymity at risk [even if it isn't] -- That's just in case something [in an invisible, paranoid universe of spies and heathens] happens to them ! I guess the logic is, if both the murdered victims and the spies had remained anonymous, killing innocent people would be so much less of a hassle! But now is: soooo yesterday!
