Not a medium nor a prophet
Not a sage nor a seer
Not restless nor endearing
Nor open to new ideas
Not born of purpose
Not born to presuppose
Not born into a career
Nor born to be sincere
Not born to articulate
Not born to write a story
Not born to be circumspect
Nor born in splendid glory
Not born with silver spoon
Nor under waxing moon
Not born to call the tune
But be out of bed by noon
Not born to contemplate
Not born to calculate
Born to go to war, sure
Still born, I can’t be sure
Not born to choose the hues
Not born to play the blues
Not born to bend the rules
Not born to obfuscate
Not born to win the school debate
Nor handsome, rich or pretty
Nor born of charm or wit
But born to get over it
Born into a paradise
Born in shock and awe
Born unlike others,
Who kick down the door
The special few
The new recruits
Born to do it all
Take us forward to nirvana
Stalwarts
Born to win awards
