Out upon the ocean calm
A tropical breeze
An ocean frieze
A day to traipse a starry balm
They call to Jesus, in hope he comes
And what to make of mysteries qualms
On dotted islets of songs and psalms
A sea floor ignited by a god’s misuse
And a blunder blown by divine obtuse
Their earthly King too steals their hearts
In paradise lost of which they’re part
An ongoing practice since the start
Two-thousand years in the eye of a storm
Their forgotten kingdom of culture born
To rack and ruin new kingdoms come
To be reborn under a blackened sun
And all the while beyond Tin Can Isle
