It is with fanfare and ado
That we face our Waterloo
A battle breached in heaven
And a war made for two
Perhaps a third, could ensue
A brawl, one last stand
But If I take you by the hand
I could race you into Paris
There be no need for mayhem,
No need for any malice
No need for a final fall
Just love and trust,
If you withdraw
I could be your Napoleon
You, as Josephine
Ambitious aspirations
Holy recantations
Allies dressed as foes
No need for pantyhose
Less is more, than it is formal
Tariffed is the new day normal
Buddies just hanging out
The wink of an eye, and little doubt
A new Caesar, a party pleaser
Fortitude meant to tease her
Help refute the roar of battle
And a defiant queen’s final cackle
Throw the shackles
Unleash the slaves
Take me to your lover’s grave
Else take me to your leader
Or that lonely island by the sea
For it’s forever
For all those endeavors
My loss is dedicated to thee
