Thief

Get off the wine sweet Jesus
Stop turning water into wine
More than wine needs bleeding
Cloven hooves are lanced and grilling
Come by Essenes gate from Jerusalem
Come to Mount Zion, there be no freak off
Come for one last bite and a send off
Come for the unleavened bread
May Zeus alight our eyes to nine muses
Mix cherry wine so as to seduce us
But please get off the wine sweet Jesus
For your hallowed cup will be used to induce us
To get off the poppies sweet Jesus
For the tree of life may be against us
Love it that it be contentious
But wasn’t that Lucifer’s exemption
The Python, the she-dragon
They can’t hear you say
Let them eat cake, but don’t let them pray
Stay clear minded sweet Jesus
When you judge them for their affrays
Remember the times of weddings
And turning water to wine for a day
Never again
Get off the wine sweet Jesus
Stop turning water to wine
That the poppy fields may lie fallow
Let Apollo sing and play paeans
So get off the wine sweet Jesus
Don’t give your father’s thunder away
