Of course it's a goddamn racket -- American pharmaceutical companies are some of the most advanced in the world -- unfortunately the US economy is also the biggest -- so they fleece it - via doctors -- you will notice the doctor's lobby is much bigger than the Carol lobby -- so it's the politicians - nobody knows what kind of money changes hands to keep these inefficient rules -- but it drips down to the whole society - and everybody suffers - including the rich, ironically. These are the problems America needs to fix to make a more just and competitive society - it's cronyism !! These things turn people against each other -- and ultimately are a big hand up to the likes of places like Russia and China.
