Hark! Do the heavens call
And what is the velocity
Of stardust when it falls
Do we just ascend
To what is coming through a lense
Or might we simply contend
As the human eye makes light bend
What is the alternative to mass
Is it solid, liquid or gas
And if there is another
Can we pray for it en masse
If it’s just stardust
For that we can adjust
But if there is another
Every sister, every brother
Can it be observed
Or felt upon the skin
For if it is nothing
Nothing is akin
A miracle, universe of light
But what if nothing did ignite
And nothing does exist
Is more impossible than all the heavens
Strung together a thousand times
And sought with great endeavor
Nothing means nothing
Nothing is not dreamed
Nothing is only nothing because
Nothing is as seems
So with the universe you’re stuck
Because it is what be
Perhaps it is dark matter
What you cannot see
And if you wish to call all nothing
It’s more logical than it seems
