Night skies ingrained but what if they came unnamed?
And as if by a quirk of chance or fate remained
Saucer like electric brains exteriors not constrained
And in the hills a providence as free as when they came

What mortals of both brawn and blemish accursed by temerity
Face such a storm’s unfurling damage contended for posterity
While the assigned with traitorous impost fail dismally for the many
Would factions truncated by a fall lend allegiance to each or any?

Out of sight out of mind, chance enhanced and cost averaged
And when the cost is looking least torchbearers chance their fleets
So fast they ignite like heroes swarm, enraptured before defeats
Flailing dedicates fleet of foot overwhelmed by miscreants

Upon sacred ground now soil renowned for its purpose and supply
They limber up stealing especially that on which we all rely
Now like kings of yore — they’re drunk and emboldened by success
But beware the ides of March my lords– and beware what you confess
