I'm not keen on the growth of GMOs -- just doesn't sit well with me -- Are they being utilized in India, Kallol? As you mentioned the Irish went through the potato famine -- For a time in France, eighteenth century, people starving would risk eating dirt -- go figure -- I know the Chinese have chowed down on grass in bleak times -- but India has the biggest dilemma of all -- In fact, if everybody on the planet ate correctly, I'm not entirely sure if it could be catered for -- there's just not enough arable land -- and soon there will be a reduction in fertilizers with Russia being shunned by the world [apart from India of course] so more already degraded low quality land will remain cropless!
