Thank you Deity for creating a world in seven days
According to the Bible — but why surmise?
Thank you for being nearly as smart as a rocket scientist
a Climatologist, a Neurologist, or even a Ventriloquist
Dear Deity, I know you do physics — but you don’t understand
But thank you for being just as smart as you can
We now know the big bang started the universe
All thanks goes to the Physicists — If only you’d had a hand
Dear Deity, we will invent a living organism one day
Made from energy, molecules and protein strands
As long as you don’t have a copyright on those
It will be synthesized into a blob and DNA scanned
Then we will prove that from nothing it can be done
Nothing will be proved productive then some
All it takes is Nothing then a big bang
Then everything mixes and focuses as one
It conspires in the test tube of the universe
Slowly piecing together both the bricks and the mortar
These molecules exist in an unexploded sun
In vapors and gases combining perfectly as one
