I wonder about academics in general -- many belong to unions -- [NEA] - who collectively bargain for pay rates and influence curriculum -- they are suspicious of a system [Capitalism] that might make them fair game in a free market -- hence down the Marxist rabbit warren they willingly fall -- The Left have traditionally backed the Arab cause against Israel - which means Russia -- who traditionally backed the Arabs -- from river to sea -- hence, we now hear it yelled in street protests -- Israel may not be perfect, but it is a democracy and American ally of which there are few and far between in that hood!
