… zesty pickles
and a container filled with
a quart of tres leches,
strawberries, whipped cream,
all slopped up in a delicious heap
— double zip-locked honey baked ham,
a big bowl of brown stuff
and my tired heart
all wrapped up cold for the long ride home
from a place I’d only been to once…
