If I could whisk you away
Or else abandon all hope
Abandon all hope on any given day
All who enter here, as they say
I could walk in breezy meadows
I could wait a line lonely fellows
Cast my shadow mean and wide
Repel your rising tide
And what if I dim your pride
Have you walk by my side
Would the heavens have to fall
Could you grant such a thing, so small
Don’t let it be said I’m not brave
Unable to resist your harking call
Walk among lonely fellows all
Resist your beck and call
I can do it all
Goaded, endure your thrall
I need no charity from the poor
Yet it is the spell you cast from which I fall
Charmed elegance, a calm place
The Moon reflects from where it’s faced
Bewitched, enchanted by your grace
Eternal strife a harrowed chase
And caught do not resist my embrace
These are footsteps of our fate
When heaven falls let Angels cry
Tempt me no more, such is the prize
