Petal
Petals flounder waver and fall
The desert blooms unrooted
set among the dragged of foot
Revelation in fragrant repose
Does it come from above
Nay, it proliferates
by highest vanities
undeserved
Try catch it and see
And cast it not to azure sea
But to the blackened entrails
Where death is born
where a thousand scorns
a thousand good deeds
all the bad that succeeds
and a thousand dreams
by a thousand schemes
the rose then cleaved
evaporates
The birth of mortality itself
The seeds already sown
Then why do they fall
As complimentary, as cheer
Nay, as a mnemonic
To tear scales from broken eyes
So unlikely results triumph best
