Cast in Stone

Cast in stone
You cannot trouble me
The vicissitudes of my unreason
Can unleash but a season of sway and convulsion
Born unto a storm of truculence and scorn
Reborn, for minutes but on the hour
Before I scour the recesses of doom’s sidings
Pretty soon, another chapter be completed
Replete with all that is fleeting
A rose-tinted treat to entreat
A lie to seize on when found
To live by and enquire upon
From this time henceforth…
