What did you think the apocalypse would look like
The parting of the clouds and granting of a kingdom
The death by sword, then famine, wild beasts and a plague
The rebuilding of a shrine in the center of stolen land
Are the laws of the universe somehow miraculously rewove
Does a deity do magic before he becomes completely self-made
Does he take on a creature with seven heads, ten horns and ten crowns
Will all the kings happily refrain from their kingdoms for a day
Will there be war, famine, pandemic prosecuted from on high
Can we expect to survive then be blinded by the greatest lie
If things come to pass will a survival kit be published here online
And how does one react so coolly when the end of days are nigh
What about the four horsemen what do we do about that
If the plot thickens perhaps all irony will remain intact
What about a two-horned lamb with the might of a giant dragon
That may well need computer graphics and matinee screen idols
Not everything’s explainable — nor is it even attainable
Who is worthy — who is not, surely it’s moot and unassailable
Fear not — lest risk cast aside asunder when a world is full ashake
Don’t presuppose, cast aspersion, restart, submise or even quake
If something was afoot would the difference be understood
That would be unlikely — if you’re watching from where I’ve stood
Fall down praise someone or something if you believe you should
But choose your choice wisely because you’re the only one that could
