Another great piece, Charles -- yes, I think people get so hooked up in their jobs and careers and the amount of [habit-forming] time that is involved that a black hole is left when it is gone! So too people who are lonely yet have their family around, not feeling they are getting the reciprocation deserved -- great point, perhaps they need to give their family an ultimatum! So many people use and exploit older people and older parents, it is sad!
