prompt by J.D. Harms
As you will see in J.D.’s prompt following the poem — he (accidently) publishes too early — in my case I (accidently) forget to write at all. In fact if I didn’t get writing prompts I’d dry up completely - like JD does three hours from midnight — or whenever it happens. Well all I can say is — I have now (written, that is), and you’re gonna have to put up with it.😎 Right JD?
I have slipped into a space where I can draft virtually throughout my day.
The last three hours of my day, however, especially as my condition has ordinarily contrived to keep me low on energy, were generally a dry zone.
…amaze us all with your stellar contributions!
J.D.Harms
A morning sight
Of songs untold
Of things fulfilled
In glory told
About the stars
My worries far
Unlike the night
I need not sight
Their bright welcome
In synonym
Or sweet revenge
I need no reply
My gaze set east
Toward the sky
And paint in orb
The brushed delight
Of things not seen
Nor things I dream
But real my plight
Don’t discount it
Don’t supplement
Nor recommend
Accomplishment
Just let me dream
A night serene
And in the morn
I’ll start again
My mind turned inward
Yet again
To thus extend
A portent brew
Credo topic
Garnished for you
And lost in thought
Magnanimous plight
Yet all…
