born to comprehend

author: MS Paint

Before all creation could be dawned
Lay all the possibilities to be spawned
A creator’s dilemma to be sure
Nothing is nigh impossibly drawn
By the seal of divinity
He who art in heaven
Thus far a code of mystery
Nothing is not dreamed
Nor ever conceived
What came first — the chicken or egg
All is revealed in the fossil record
From whence we make amends
Then onto more creative arts
Monkeys to men — a long bow drawn
Darwin born to comprehend
Beaks getting bigger but no change of kind
Whereby each starting out still remains in time
A Cambrian explosion
A species complete
Shrunken heads — extricated feet
Twenty million years
Earth has created man
Twenty more and man can stand
Gains advantage on the land
A plan in hand
Fast broadband
No rocks in his head
Nor brain be damned
Darwin still remains hellbent
Rocks are good
Brain is sad
Rocks creative
Not monkey brains
Is that insane
If so, mister scientist yet to come
Please explain the chicken’s shell
Please explain one living cell
Evolution, intricacy, the revolutionary cure
Or perhaps just some living hell
